Senior Team (Years 4 - 6)

Debbie Robertson - Deputy Principal (acting)  Kahu, Year 5/6
I have been teaching at Avondale Primary school for 5 years and I am thrilled to be joining the team at Papanui Primary.  I love to read and enjoy the outdoors.  I have a very busy and energetic 10 year old daughter.  I have particular strengths in literacy, numeracy and health and believe strongly in developing children's independence and self management in learning. 
Nikeisha Clarke - Kahu, Year 5/6
Kia ora, I began teaching in Christchurch in 2017 and am excited to be joining the Kahu team at Papanui Primary this year. I enjoy playing a range of sports and exploring the outdoors in my spare time. I love travelling home to spend time with my kuia in the Catlins and relaxing by the beach or scuba diving amongst our beautiful wildlife.
Pamela Marshall  - Korimako, Year 4/5 CURRENTLY ON MATERNITY LEAVE
I have enjoyed teaching at all levels of the school from year NE to year 6 over the past six years and feel very lucky to now be teaching at Papanui Primary School. My favourite hobby is playing the Highland Bagpipes in a local Pipe Band. I have been playing the pipes for 18 years during which time I have played at events in 5 different countries. In my down time I love spending time with my husband tiki touring around our beautiful country.

Junior Team (Years 1 - 3)

Jennie Watson -  Pukeko, New Entrant
I have enjoyed transitioning children into school at Papanui Primary from 1995. I have 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren who I enjoy spending regular time with. I live on a lifestyle block in North Canterbury and enjoy animals, gardens and music.

Glen Thompson - Pukeko, New Entrant
I have been teaching in the junior school for my entire teaching career. Lisa and I have 2 school age children, Eve and Lucy. We enjoy tramping, camping and going on family adventures. 

Jo Harris - Piwakawaka - Assistant Principal
Hi, I have been at Papanui since 2007 and I love teaching and learning at our school.  I have 3 children (and 4 step children) who all keep me busy outside of school and I love watching them participating in their sports and interests.  I enjoy time with family, listening to music and getting out and going fishing in our boat in our spare time.

Miranda Sheppard - Piwakawaka
Hi, I am really excited to be part of the team at Papanui Primary School.  I have been a teacher for 20 years and love working at the junior level.  I have a particular interest in teaching literacy and maths. We have two children aged 8 and 13 who keep my husband and I busy.  I enjoy walking, gardening and cooking. 

Marian Rait - Weka
Teaching at Papanui Primary School since 2012. Teaching since 1995. Learning to fly at the Canterbury Aero Club. Loves cats and chocolate. Great sense of humour.
Sharon Alabaster - Weka
It is great to be back at Papanui Primary after a few years away.  I have been teaching since 1995 and have been trained as a Reading Recovery Teacher while I was away.  I really enjoy teaching at the junior level and like sharing my interest in reading and writing with the children. I love reading, riding my bike and cooking.  We have two children aged 15 and 17.

Learning Support Coordinator

Kerrie has this new role in the school to support children and their families.
Married with two fantastic grown up children, Kim and Thomas. I am excited about my new role and teaching at Papanui School. My passions are arts and crafts, numeracy and literacy teaching. I have two very cute and entertaining, but very mischievous dogs who keep me busy.

Mrs Lisa Brunel - School Secretary 
I have been at Papanui Primary since 2009 and work in the School Office.
I really enjoy reading a good book, watching a great game of netball and spending time with my family.

Mrs Lynne Levick - Student Support 
Teacher aide at our school since October 2000. Married to Brian with two adult children, Siobhan and Clinton. I love walking (especially with my border collie, Riley), reading, cooking, Zumba, sewing and spending time with my family and friends.  I am keen to travel more, having visited the US, Canada, China and Australia over past few years. A passionate supporter of the Crusaders and the All Blacks.

Mrs Lisa Stevens - Library Assistant 
I am married with three sons all of whom attended Papanui Primary. In 2007 I became the permanent library assistant.  I enjoy selecting new books for the library and love the learning environment we have at our school. I enjoy reading autobiographies, New Zealand history and a good novel.  I'm a full-time supporter for my boys in the weekends and love dogs, family and friends. Go Highlanders!
